본 행사는 서울대학교 아시아연구소 동북아시아센터와 콘래드-아데나워 재단(Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung)이 공동 주최하는 국제 학술 교류 행사이다. 본 행사에서는 한국과 유럽 지역의 대학 교수, 대학원생, 콘래드-아데나워 재단 구성원 등이 참석하여, 아시아(중국)를 바라보는 유럽의 시각을 이해하고 소통하는 건설적 기회를 마련하고자 한다. 발표는 각각 “China’s presence in Europe (critical infrastructure)”(Cynthia WRAGE), “Sino-US tech competition”(Philip NOCK), “Engagement with the Communist Party of China(example of Tanzania & Namibia)”(Amelie WURL)로, 중국을 중심으로 한 국제 정치, 경제 등의 문제를 조망할 수 있는 기회를 마련한다.
